Imogen Lamport is one of the world’s top image consultants and has created a system of understanding color that goes beyond the ‘4 seasons’ that is respected and used throughout the world. Imogen has a BA in Communications and worked for many years as a publicist for Penguin Books Australia, working with internationally renowned authors such as Bryce Courtenay, Jonathan Kellerman, and Maggie Beer.
Imogen began researching the how and why of clothing to better understand the connection between image and confidence and started blogging to share her style success formula after qualifying as an image consultant. Today Inside Out Style Blog is one of the most popular style blogs in the world and in 2018 was named Australia’s No. 1 Style Blog.
Imogen also consults directly with clients through her image consultancy and through her image education company provides training programs for both the novice and more experienced image consultants and stylists.
Imogen’s interest in personality systems was piqued when as part of her university degree she was introduced to the MBTI® and discovered more about her own type preferences. Interested in the relationship between style and personality, Imogen has long understood that there is a clear link between the two and that without including personality as part of the style equation, her clients would not feel confident in their clothing choices. This belief has led her to spend time studying psychological type firstly as an interested layman and then becoming a certified in the use of psychological type through TypePro Education.
Imogen is regularly interviewed by the media and has been featured in The Sunday Age M Magazine, Hong Kong Tatler magazine, The Age, The Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, Sunday Herald Sun, Men’s Style, Australian Mortgage Professional magazine, ABC Radio across Australia as well has having appeared on Melbourne Talk Radio and cable TV shows.
Imogen has served as President of the AICI (Association of Image Consultants International) Australian chapter, bringing the AICI’s First Level Certification exam to Australia. Imogen has been honored as Chapter Member of the Year, and later, as VP of Communications, she created the chapter’s first website. Imogen is a Certified Image Professional (CIP), one of only eight in Australia to have reached this level and in 2019 was awarded the AICI Jane Segerstrom award for helping further the AICI worldwide industry vision.
