Your style aesthetic is a self-defined, refined statement of your style expression, that stems from a deep connection to your style essence. It isn’t merely about how you wish to look – it is much deeper and more discerning than that.
Your style aesthetic describes what being beautiful means to you. At 16 Style Types we believe that every woman is beautiful in her own way. When you connect deeply with your style essence and your style expression grows from that place, you become truly yourself, you become the woman you were meant to be, and you inhabit that place fully.
This is very different from a one-dimensional and shallow sketch of how you wish to look based on a hodgepodge of ideas gleaned from a variety of sources or a list of latest fashion must-haves. Your style aesthetic connects you to yourself and then guides you in expressing your inner core with such confidence that there is no room for any doubt.
You and your style become indivisible, no more feeling you’re wearing a costume or someone else’s clothes, no more feeling like an imposter, second-guessing yourself or your style, being tentative or taking risks that aren’t your own.
Your style aesthetic is discriminating – it sorts out what is important to you from what is not.
Your style aesthetic is cultivated – it takes time to identify it, to understand it, to describe it, and to connect with it. It can take years to fully blossom and appreciate.
Your style aesthetic is refined – what it doesn’t describe is as important as what it does. You may need to work through quite a “weeding out” process to be able to define it.
